About
We took the new Audi RS e-tron GT on a joyride through the Swiss Alps in search of quiet and personal moments between the action.
The sound design in post-production was a particular challenge, as we deliberately avoided dominant music in order to focus on the driving sounds and nature.
Music is otherwise a great tool to give videos a certain mood very easily and to add dynamics and tension. We tried to create this purely with the sound design.
As the car is fully electric and doesn’t produce any typical combustion engine noises, this was even more difficult, but a welcome challenge. The RS e-tron GT is of course much quieter compared to combustion engines, but its sound is quite futuristic and powerful in real life. We miced up the car and used the sounds for post-production.
